Guglielmo the Inventor

The (true) story of a boy who dreams of being an inventor and is always ready for new crazy experiments.
This tv series is inspired by the real story of Guglielmo Marconi, internationally known as the inventor of the radio.
It’s about curiosity. Curiosity not just about how the world works but also about finding ways to make it work better.
It’s about discovery and it’s about invention. It’s about how children can engage with science in an illuminating and entertaining way. It touches on some of the major scientific advances of the past 150 years.
How we shouldn’t take them for granted. How they might prove to be an inspiration for the scientists of the future.
It’s about inventions, experiments, attempts to change the world that do not always turn out as expected. These are seen from the perspective of our young audience. In the course of the series, the young Marconi will explore the most important scientific developments of the second half of the 19th century.  He’ll make a rudimentary battery using a potato, explore the early experiments in building transmitting antenna, investigate Edison’s first attempts to record and amplify sound.
This isn’t science as a cold, cerebral activity, it’s about science as seen through the eyes of a child. Science with excitement, adventure and emotion.
